Wonder Bar

So yesterday I got to see our basement... which used to be a SPEAKEASY .a.k.a. an illegal bar during the prohibition that made moonshine and such. There is a legit bar with taps complete with bar mirrors and cabinets and lanterns!!!! A dancing hall toooo. There are signs that read "Wonder Bar." It was so cool being down there. Although it's super dark and creepy, it was an unexplainable feeling to be in the presence of such an incredible part of our history. There is no doubt that our greatest mobsters such as Al Capone and Dillenger threw back a drink or two down there, seeing that my neighborhood/Chicago were their stomping grounds.

I'm just really, really, stoked about it.

Although we already call our house The Speakeasy, we have pondered about getting a liquor cabinet and naming it The Wonder Bar. This of course will probably have to wait until we can fund it. In the meantime, we'll just have to settle for the goldfish named Moonshine

Can you Imagine?
